Paynt began offering URocked in 2023, following Paynt’s successful acquisition of the
URocked tipping app, and merger of their company and staff into the wider Paynt
company. Paynt, as an acquirer, processes payments, and URocked is the tipping
app which sits on our POS terminals, and merchant-staff mobile phones.
The ‘elevator pitch’ is as follows:
URocked allows hospitality merchants to accept bills and tips in one transaction,
splitting them in real-time: allowing customers to tip with cards - the bill is settled to
merchant bank accounts, and the tip is sent to the URocked mobile app of each
staff member.
On the Merchant side, the URocked tipping app is installed on PAX A920 POS
terminals: and in some cases can simply be ‘pushed’ to the terminals of your existing
merchants - as an upsell product.
On the Staff side, the URocked app is downloaded for free from the Apple App Store
or Google Play, and installed directly on staff mobile phones.
Since our market entry in 2023, Paynt has been earning an average of 60% additional revenue from tipping per hospitality merchant using URocked: making this a very valuable revenue opportunity for our Partners - on top of traditional transaction revenue fees.
