What MIDs does Paynt use?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

We are mainly using segregated MIDs, which means that the same MID can be used by multiple merchants that share the same MCC and trade in the same country (for example, all merchants that have MCC 5812 and are from the UK, will have the same MID). Previously, we used unique MIDs for all merchants.

MID (merchant ID) contains 15 digits, and is made from the following values:

For POS:

  • Agreement number - 6 digit number, based on the currency that the merchant is processing, for example, 345994 for EUR or 345992 for GBP

  • Separator - 9 for POS merchants, 2 for SOftPOS merchants.

  • Terminal ID - 8-digit Processor Terminal ID, that is based on what country the merchant is registered in, and their MCC., for example, 20077613

    For SoftPOS :

  • Agreement number - based on the currency that the merchant is processing, for example 345994 for EUR or 345992 for GBP

  • Separator - 9 for POS merchants, 2 for SOftPOS merchants.

  • Sponsored ID - unique 8-digit value, that starts with 7 or 9.
