PAX terminal errors.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

“POS tampered, request authority” - A tampered terminal is a terminal that has been damaged in some way (i.e., being dropped, power surge).

When a terminal is considered tampered with, it is no longer usable and will need to be replaced.

“Terminal is locked” - Terminal has been locked in Terminal Management System, to unlock it, you need to contact the company, that provided you the terminal, or go to the TMS, and unlock it in terminal settings.

“Lower Voltage” (during printing) - The battery does not have enough power for the printer to operate. To fix this :

  • Charge the terminal for at least 15–20 minutes

  • Ensure the battery is seated correctly

  • Avoid printing receipts when battery is below 20%

  • If this happens frequently → the battery may need replacement

You can still take payments, but printing may fail until the battery is charged.
